Return to the homepageCome talk with my data—with your own AI. Keep research, deal documents and team knowledge in one maintained place. Share a precise pack with each person, set their deadline, and see what their AI requests. Fresh retrievals use the current permitted version.
Watch the example, or jump in. Nothing uploaded. Public sample requests kept for 30 days · privacy
Pick example files, choose access, then see an illustrative connection, AI answer and request record. Turn on JavaScript to try the interactive demo. No files are uploaded.
Keep the originals in your private wallet. Choose a separate pack for each person, set their deadline, and see what their AI requested.
Your browser encrypts your files and filenames using your wallet key before they leave your device. ZIPs are unpacked locally. Your wallet key is not sent to our service.
Keep your recovery key safe. Email sign-in cannot replace it.
Select the files or passages each recipient can access. Private notes can stay out of their pack. Hosted AI access requires your separate approval of a copy our service can decrypt.
Uploading files alone does not give an AI access.
Their authorised AI connection receives only the content its permissions allow. Your request record shows the requests and prepared responses, with source references where available.
A request record does not prove that a person read the material.
Expiry and revocation stop new retrievals. Content already received by a person or AI provider cannot be recalled. The approved hosted AI copy is service-readable; it does not have the same device-only key boundary as your private wallet.
See exactly how privacy and access work →A pitch deck, an investment memo, an LP update. Keep the right material together so each person can explore their approved pack with their own compatible AI.
Series A and later fundraising. Share your deck, financials and founder experience with prospective investors.
Funds and private equity. Give LPs and prospective investors access to approved updates, diligence and portfolio reports.
Lead investors and family offices. Share a deal memo, diligence and financials with each co-investor.
Placement agents and fundraisers. Keep deals organised, choose each recipient’s pack and review their AI requests.
The same control works for staff policies, hotel guest information and shared team knowledge: one maintained source, with access you approve.
Keep your meeting notes, contact preferences and deal research in a private drop. Give your own AI a selected working pack to help compare a deal with the criteria you have recorded.
Store notes, mandate criteria and open questions as supported documents. Keep facts, dates and your own judgement clearly labelled.
Ask: “Which contacts’ stated criteria fit this deal? Cite my notes, flag outdated information and list what I should confirm.” You review the answer and decide whom to approach.
Create a separate recipient pack containing only approved materials. Leave your private notes and contact list out. Approving your own AI does not approve a recipient.
Connecting your AI requires explicit approval of a separate hosted copy that our service can decrypt. Include only contact information you have permission to use. OpenDataRoom supplies your selected material; your AI does the comparison. Explore the placement-agent workflow →
A receipt you can read at a glance, with technical detail one click away.
Each record has a request reference. Document responses include source hashes and excerpt ranges where applicable. New pack response bodies are kept in owner-encrypted receipts. Older records may contain metadata only. Export currently means the displayed page, up to 100 records. Search checks prepared text for the supplied text, without semantic matching. The ledger is not an independent regulatory archive and does not infer anyone's intent.
Records show requests received and responses prepared, not a full AI conversation or proof of reading. Your AI may reuse retrieved material without another request. Subscriber records follow the retention policy; public sample records last 30 days.
Use a pack yourself or invite named recipients. Each connection has its own authorisation and can be revoked. Access ends by the pack's deadline.
Keep the files together. Set the terms for each connection.
| Your choice | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Which pack | The files available through that connection. |
| Who connects | Your account, or an invited recipient's authorised connection. |
| How long | Future requests stop at expiry or revocation. |
| What you can review | Requests received, file references and response metadata. |
| What stays yours | Your private library, separate from its expiring access copies. |
Your private library is encrypted in your browser. To connect an AI, you approve a separate, time-limited copy that our service can read to answer authorised requests.
Your library, filenames included, is encrypted in your browser. Save your recovery key: signing in by email cannot replace a lost wallet key.
When you choose hosted AI access, you authorise a copy our service decrypts to prepare responses. That access copy is not end-to-end encrypted from OpenDataRoom.
Each account gets dedicated storage we manage. Connect through a compatible AI app; remote MCP with OAuth is required, and commercial apps are still in compatibility testing.

When you connect an AI: you approve a separate hosted copy that our service can decrypt to answer authorised requests. Your chosen AI receives the content it retrieves. Revoking access stops future retrieval; it cannot recall copies already received. How encryption works →
During the invited pilot: no payment is taken. 1 GB total storage per company · up to 50 files and 10 MB per drop. Joining the waiting list does not activate an account.
Prices in GBP per month. Listed users upload and manage packs; invited recipients are not paid seats. Tax and billing terms are confirmed before purchase.
Open means access on your terms: you choose the material, the people and the deadline. Recipients bring their own compatible AI. Uploading a file does not make it public or give an AI permission.
A fixed deadline limits future exposure from forgotten connections. Requests stop at expiry, and scheduled cleanup removes the access copy. Expiry cannot recall content already retrieved.

Save your recovery key. You can remember your wallet on a trusted device. Signing in by email cannot replace a lost wallet key; we cannot reset that key to unlock your private library.
Apps that support remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Meeting those requirements does not guarantee every app works; commercial apps are in compatibility testing. See compatibility for the current status.
Text-based PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX and text files, including supported documents inside ZIPs, within current limits. Originals are retained in encrypted storage, but the current AI tools return extracted text, not complete original files. Charts, images and layout are not delivered faithfully through those text tools. No OCR or spreadsheet recalculation is provided. Check the preparation report and source documents before relying on an answer.
Yes. Keep notes and contact context in your private drop, then select them only for a pack you approve for your own AI. Create a different pack for recipients with only their permitted materials. Check the selected files before approving access: a connected AI receives the content it retrieves. Adding someone to a recipient pack does not give them your whole drop or wallet.
Yes. Your wallet holds drops, like folders of source files. A pack selects files or passages from a drop for a particular audience. Reuse the pack within its retention period, with separate approvals and deadlines. Accepted updates apply to future requests; they do not refresh material already in an AI chat.
Keep your packs together. Open access when it helps. Close it when you choose. One work email puts you on the waiting list.
